Dental furnace heating element replacement, by furnace model
What the makers of six common zirconia sintering furnaces publish about the heating elements – type, number per furnace and item numbers – with the source for each line. Use it to prepare a request; it does not replace a look at the old element.

Six furnaces: what the documents say
Each line comes from the furnace maker’s manual, catalogue or parts page, or – where marked – from a dental supplier’s listing. Every row links to a page with the details.
| Furnace | Heating element, as documented | Elements per furnace | Item number found |
|---|---|---|---|
| Programat S1 / S1 1600 Ivoclar | Material not named in the operating instructions or the S1 1600 guide [1][2] | Not published; the cleaning section shows a left and a right element [1] | Not published |
| inFire HTC speed Dentsply Sirona | MoSi heating elements [3] | Six [3] | Not given in the service manual [3] |
| Sintra / Sintra Plus Shenpaz | Material not named in the manual [4]; listed as U-shaped by a US dental supplier [5] | Three; Shenpaz recommends replacing all three at the same time [4] | Not in the manual. MFG034A in a US dental supplier’s listing for Sintra Plus, Pro 90/120 and CS [5] |
| LHT 01/17 D, LHT 03/17 D Nabertherm | Special molybdenum disilicide heating elements [6] | Not stated in the manual [6] | Not published; for a quotation Nabertherm asks for the furnace serial number [7] |
| ZYRCOMAT 6000 MS VITA | Molybdenum disilicide, individually exchangeable [8] | Four [8] | D53041 [8] |
| Zirkonofen 600 (600/V2, V3, V4) Zirkonzahn | MoSi2, per the 600/V3 and 600/V4 product pages [10][11] | Two [10][11][12] | ERAA0331, listed for Zirkonofen 600/700/700 Ultra Vakuum [9] |
None of these documents gives the element dimensions – diameters, heating length, terminal length or leg spacing. That is why every check starts from the old element or a photo with a ruler. “Not published” means we did not find it in the documents listed under Sources.

Most dental sintering furnaces heat with MoSi2. Schupp, a supplier of MoSi2 heating elements, writes that by far the largest share of the furnaces on the market is built with molybdenum disilicide elements, and only a few with silicon carbide [13]. Either way, the check starts from the furnace model and the old element.

What to send for any dental furnace
- Furnace brand, model and serial number (type plate)
- Photo of the old element next to a ruler
- Diameters of heating zone and terminal, e.g. 4/9 or 3/6
- Heating length Le, terminal length Lu and leg spacing a
- Straight or bent, and how many elements the furnace holds
- Item number from the manual, box or invoice, if known
Guides
How the furnace-model check works
Send
The furnace model and a photo of the old element, or its part number. Dimensions if you can measure.
We check and confirm the spec
We check the dimensions and reply in writing with the size line we read, any missing value, and whether we can supply it.
You confirm the configuration
Size, number of elements per set and, for SiC rods, how they are grouped by resistance.
Production and shipping
Production and shipping are arranged for the confirmed configuration; the quote covers that element and quantity.

Questions buyers ask
Are these the furnace makers’ own parts?
No. PMEXO is an independent supplier of replacement heating elements and is not affiliated with any of the furnace makers named here. Item numbers are quoted only so you can find the part in your own documents. We read the size from the old element and write it back to you before anything is quoted.
One element or the whole set?
Follow the furnace maker. Nabertherm writes that with MoSi heating elements, individual defective elements can be replaced separately [7]; VITA describes the four elements of the ZYRCOMAT 6000 MS as individually exchangeable [8]; Shenpaz recommends replacing all three Sintra elements at the same time [4]. Tell us how many elements the furnace holds and how many you want to change.
Why do you need the old element if the item number is known?
None of the documents listed publishes element dimensions, and one furnace name can cover several versions, such as Zirkonofen 600/V2, V3 and V4. A photo next to a ruler, with diameters, lengths and leg spacing, lets us read the size line and confirm it with you in writing.
What if my dental furnace uses SiC elements?
Then resistance matters as well as size. Nabertherm writes that the SiC elements in its LHTCT furnaces are only replaced as a complete set [7]. See dental-furnace SiC elements and the SiC resistance guide.
