inFire HTC speed heating element replacement
Dentsply Sirona’s service manual describes six MoSi heating elements, what to check when the furnace does not heat, and the counter reset after a replacement. It does not give their size. Send the serial number and a photo of an old element next to a ruler.

Service manual: what it says
From the inFire HTC speed service manual, document 61 30 608 D3497 (10.2018) [1].
| Topic | What the document says |
|---|---|
| Heating system | Six high-quality MoSi heating elements (section 2.2) [1]. |
| Size and item number | Not given in the service manual [1]. |
| LED shows heating, furnace does not heat | Cause listed: heating defective. Check whether the heating is jammed and measure the resistance with an ohmmeter (section 8.2.3) [1]. |
| Before replacing | The unit is switched off and its power plug disconnected; then loosen the clamps (A) and pull off the aluminium band (B) (section 9.1) [1]. |
| After replacing | Reset the counter with service code F8561; from serial number 3000, or with converted electronics (Superspeed upgrade kit), the code is F08561 (section 9.1.1) [1]. |
| Superspeed | For super speed sintering the furnace is preheated to 1,580 °C (section 10.1) [1]. |
“Not published” means we did not find it in the documents listed under Sources; it may exist in service documents we have not seen.
Checks: when to look at the elements
- The LED on the control panel shows heating, but the furnace does not heat: the manual lists a defective heating and tells you to check for jamming and measure the resistance [1].
- Your serial number is 3000 or higher, or the electronics were converted: the counter reset uses a different code [1].
- Discoloured zirconia after sintering: see the discoloration guide for what furnace makers name as causes.
Send the reading with the photo
The manual uses an ohmmeter reading to judge the heating [1]. If you measured, add the value to your request together with the photo of the element.
What to send for an inFire HTC speed
- Model and serial number from the type plate
- Photo of the old element next to a ruler, both legs in the picture
- Diameters of heating zone and terminal, e.g. 4/9 or 3/6, if you can measure
- Heating length Le, terminal length Lu and leg spacing a
- How many of the six elements you want to replace
- The resistance reading, if you measured one
Why we ask for the element itself
The service manual gives the number and type of the elements but not their dimensions [1]. The size line we read from your photo is written back to you before anything is quoted.
Work on the furnace only with the unit switched off and the power plug disconnected, as the service manual requires [1]. Other furnaces: dental furnace models.
How the furnace-model check works
Send
The furnace model and a photo of the old element, or its part number. Dimensions if you can measure.
We check and confirm the spec
We check the dimensions and reply in writing with the size line we read, any missing value, and whether we can supply it.
You confirm the configuration
Size, number of elements per set and, for SiC rods, how they are grouped by resistance.
Production and shipping
Production and shipping are arranged for the confirmed configuration; the quote covers that element and quantity.
Dental furnace service, dealers and labs: see dental sintering furnaces for typical situations.
Questions buyers ask
How many heating elements does the inFire HTC speed have?
Six MoSi heating elements, according to the service manual (section 2.2) [1].
What does the manual say to check when the furnace does not heat?
If the LED shows heating but the furnace does not heat, the listed cause is a defective heating; the manual says to check whether the heating is jammed and to measure the resistance with an ohmmeter (section 8.2.3) [1].
Is there anything to do after replacing an element?
The manual describes resetting the counter with service code F8561, or F08561 from serial number 3000 or with converted electronics (section 9.1.1) [1].
Are these Dentsply Sirona original parts?
No. PMEXO is an independent supplier of replacement heating elements and is not affiliated with Dentsply Sirona. We read the size from your old element and confirm it with you in writing.
