FAQ & contact
Answers to what buyers usually ask before sending a part number. Send the part number, or a photo with the dimensions. We check it against your old element and reply by email.
FAQ
Why don’t you just send a price?
Because a price for the wrong size helps nobody. Two elements that look the same can differ in diameter, centre distance or length. We first confirm the size line with you; the quote then covers that exact element and quantity.
Can you tell which element my furnace needs from its name?
Not from the furnace name or a part number alone. Our reply writes out the size line we read from your photos and dimensions, so you can compare it with the old element before you confirm anything.
Does sending a request commit me to anything?
No. A request is a question about one element or one list; you decide after our reply.
What if you can’t supply my element?
Then our reply says so. We do not guess a size from a furnace name.
How do I know the size is right?
Our reply states the size line we read from your part number, photos and dimensions, so you can compare it with the old element before you confirm anything.
Do you need the old element?
No. A photo of the old element next to a ruler, plus the furnace model, is usually enough to start; we ask for any value we cannot read.
Where are prices and delivery times?
They are not published here. Price, packing and shipping terms are given in our quote for the confirmed element and quantity.
Do you supply anything other than these six elements?
This site covers six heating elements only. If you also need accessories for the elements, tick the box in the form and note which ones in the comments. For any other size of these element types: send the part number.
What is the difference between 4/9 and 3/6 MoSi2 elements?
The numbers are the diameters in millimetres: hot zone / terminal. A 4/9 element has a 4 mm heating section and 9 mm terminals; a 3/6 element has 3 mm and 6 mm. Many dental sintering furnaces use 4/9; fewer use 3/6, and some documents write the size as 9/4. The two sizes are not interchangeable, and lengths and leg spacing still differ between furnaces, so the furnace model and a photo of the old element are needed.
Do you supply the SiC rods some dental furnaces use?
Yes: thin SiC rods and SGR spiral rods for dental furnaces that heat with silicon carbide instead of MoSi2. These elements are specific to the furnace, and spiral rods are also matched by resistance, so send us your furnace model and old element to check.
Why does the centre distance matter so much?
The legs of a U element pass through holes or slots in the furnace roof or wall. Leg centre distance is measured centre to centre (a for MoSi2, A for SiC U rods), and it differs between furnaces even when the diameters are the same: a 6/12 element, for example, comes with different centre distances. A few millimetres decide whether the element goes in, so we always ask for it if it is missing.
Do SiC rods need to be matched by resistance?
Yes, for rods that run together. SiC resistance is specified hot (around 1000 °C), so a room-temperature multimeter reading says little; the value or test current marked on the old rod is the reference. Element handbooks commonly give ±5 % between rods in series and ±10 % in parallel, and recommend changing an aged group as a set. Tell us how your rods are connected; resistance grouping can be discussed in our reply.
Can one MoSi2 element be replaced on its own?
Usually yes: unlike SiC, MoSi2 resistance changes very little with age, and element handbooks state that a failed element can be replaced without changing the others in the same circuit. Some dental furnace manuals still ask for all elements to be changed together – follow your manual.
There is no readable part number. What now?
Send the furnace brand and model from the type plate and a photo of the old element next to a ruler, with the dimensions you can measure. Tick “I don’t know the dimensions” in the form if you cannot measure – the photos are enough to start.
Where are the elements made?
In Dengfeng, China.
Which languages can I write in?
English, German or French.
